Motherwell District Women’s Aid has delivered domestic abuse services across the Motherwell area for over 20 years. We are a small but dynamic and effective service providing support to women, children and young people who have experienced, or are presently experiencing domestic abuse.
Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of women and children? Motherwell Women’s Aid are seeking more female Board Members to join our Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors are responsible for the effective governance and strategic direction of Motherwell District Women’s Aid. We are seeking new Board Members who are keen to increase their understanding, awareness and knowledge of the cause and issues relating to domestic abuse and the ability to advocate our philosophy and mission.
We are keen to hear from women with experience within Social Work/Social Care, domestic abuse/ Gender Based Violence, PR, social media or communications, human resources and or fundraising. The Board meet in person and online every 6 to 8 weeks. The role is voluntary however, we will provide training, support and reimburse any expenses.
